ART IN THE OPEN | WATERWORKS
CFEVA
In 2016 the Center for Emerging Visual Artists held its bi-annual open air art program on the banks of the Schyulkill River in Philadelphia. I intervened a stone pylon which stands as a headstone to some bygone infrastructure near the Waterworks museum. Constructed in situ over the three-day public event, the 15' figure crouched and pushed up against the stone wall in a display of perpetual resistance, trying to topple the structure, or maintain it from collapsing. After the show ended, the sculpture was installed at the Waterworks Museum.
